About You: I missed graduating from MRHS in ’74 because my family moved to San Diego for a year and I graduated from La Jolla High instead. Returned to Montreal and did an engineering degree, worked for a bit in Québec City and Toronto. Came back to Montreal to study more engineering and get married. We moved to the Alps in France for a year of French courses, skiing and exploring Europe. Moved back to Ottawa, joined Bell Northern Research for 15 years and had two daughters. In 2001 I shifted careers into the not-for-profit innovation space working with companies, universities and colleges. I was widowed 2004. I remarried in 2007 and spent two years back in Montreal running NanoQuébec before returning to Ottawa. Now I am running the Canadian Academy of Engineering, sailing, walking our dogs, travelling and doing some consulting mostly related to climate change adaptation and mitigation.

Favourite Memories from MRHS: I remember a class trip to Bandoll, France, that was a lot of fun. Biology field trips and rat dissections during lunch period. Sitting by the lockers during lunch breaks.

Favourite Teacher(s): Mr. Stambois, Ms. Campbell
