Born: Montreal.
Current Status: Married 40+ years with 2 adult sons and 2 grandsons, all in Calgary at this point. (Scott Vaughan was my best man)
Post-MRHS Studies: Concordia B Comm (Connie thanks for all your help😉). I obtained my CA in Toronto. I lived there with Bob Mowat for 4 years where we worked, studied and played some great full-contact hockey in the CA league. Bob was at Coopers and me at Peat Marwick where they seemed to recruit lots of ex junior A players. What position do you play was an interview question. (I guess they were short on right shooting defensemen like me). Somehow we also both got our CAs.
Current Area of Residence: Calgary since 1997
Favourite Sport: I continue to enjoy lots of Golf, Skiing in Banff and Track and Field (still enjoy competing at meets). Still choked that we lost all our sports in our grad year, oh well I think as a group we really coped amazingly well through that.
Favourite Activities: Spending time with our two grandsons has to be at the top of the list. Our 6 year old has become quite the golfer and skier.
Favourite Song(s): Let’s go with Stairway to Heaven (MSG Live 70s version). I remember seeing them twice at the Forum.
Favourite Colour(s): Red (because of the Habs)
Favourite Drink(s): Pretty low-key these days but I’d have to say my fav is Macallan 18 Scotch.
Favourite Food(s): Used to be hot dogs (especially steamed), probably steak/lobster these days.
About You: I spent most of my career in Accounting and Finance with the two railways, (some of it with Brian Grassby when at CP), I retired in 2018, but continue to do some consulting work, currently with MNP in Calgary. My wife and our family take some winter breaks at our place in Scottsdale Az. Obligations will keep me in Calgary and unfortunately, I will miss seeing you all at the reunion, I will miss you all and as you can probably see throughout the above TMR and MRHS are never too far away.
Favourite Memories from MRHS: LOTs, but one weird one that pops into my head is that sometimes I’d go to the J for lunch with Mr. Bramble and have beer and burger. I also enjoyed just hanging out with everyone whether it was sports or just sitting outside on the steps and park beside the school. Also, some of you had amazing house parties that I was lucky enough to attend. Andrea Harris, I recall that you used to host more than your share for all of us. Thank you all for an amazing High School experience that will stay with us all.
Favourite Teacher(s): Bramble, Coxon, McCurty, Mr. J, Mr. Foreman
