Born: Yes, I was. (April 11, 1957)
Current Status: Single. Susan turned me down 60 years ago. Still traumatized.
I have beaten up Millennials for asking if I’m retired based solely on my age. (I do take some delight in the astonishment on their faces when they learn my age though.) I’ll retire when I’m hit by a bus. I’m fine with changing horses mid-ride, but not slowing down.
Post-MRHS Studies: BA, Cornell University, Magna Cum Laude in Sociology
MS, Journalism, Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism
MBA, concentration in Media Management, Columbia University Graduate School of Business Administration.
Current Area of Residence: Vancouver, BC. I’ve previously lived in Ithaca NY (4 years), NYC (21 years), Palm Beach FL (8 years), finally Vancouver for the past 15 years … and Montreal before all that of course.
Favourite Sport: I’m very much a gym rat. Also trail hiking, skiing, and I’m thinking of getting back into squash which I used to play when I lived in New York … it’s a great workout and strategy sport. Been known to play beach volleyball on occasion.
About You: I’m a software developer and own a company that runs three B2B SaaS platforms used by companies around the world, the main one being a Learning Management System used for corporate training.
Favourite Memories from MRHS: I still have the pencil that I used in the “Dear Penpal” scene from You’re A Good Man Charlie Browne (fashioned from a sawed-off broomstick); it’s on display in my office. I also have fond memories of that exchange trip to Bandol. Oh, and helping coordinate the ICSC student uprising senior year.
Favourite Teacher(s): Mr. Richardson, history. He was amazing. Whenever some website asks for the name of my favourite teacher as a password recovery reminder, it’s Richardson.
